FONDA, NY — Hundreds of horse trainers and riders from across New York came together for the annual Fonda Fair held Aug. 30 – Sept. 3. The Fonda Fair has always had a strong animal and agricultural theme since it’s conception in 1841. Both children and adults competed throughout the week in everything from miniatures to draft horses to barrel racing. In addition to the horse shows and competitions the fair includes a multiple buildings exhibiting cows, goats, poultry and rabbits as well as a rodeo on Thursday. Each day a six-horse team of Clydesdale’s from Heather Brooke Hill Clydesdales could be seen daily around the fair grounds and track.
